Austin depression therapy, Austin anxiety therapy, Austin trauma therapist, Austin trauma therapy, Austin trauma counselor, Austin trauma therapist

When I reflect on why I became a counselor, I believe two things initially led me towards this field. I have inextinguishable passion for helping others, especially those who are struggling. Also, I am fascinated with understanding people and what makes them tick. These attributes combined with my own personal battles, positive therapy experiences, and a desire to feel a sense of purpose in my life are what I feel ultimately led me to this profession.

I received my Master's Degree in Professional Counseling from Texas State University. I have worked in the mental health field for over 13 years. I have had the opportunity to work with individuals suffering from issues related to depression, anxiety, addiction, relationships/intimacy, trauma, abuse (physical, sexual, emotional), chronic health problems, mood disorders, grief/loss, and career transitions.

My style of therapy is supportive and collaborative, meaning we work as a team.  I believe you are the expert in your own life and are already equipped with the capacity to heal. My goal is to provide you with a safe, compassionate, and accepting environment for you to comfortably share your thoughts and feelings. I will use my knowledge and skills to guide you through the therapy process, help you gain a better understanding of your true self and empower you to make the positive changes you want. You deserve a life you enjoy!
